What is Middleware?
  Middleware is software that takes care of audio and video playback for your application. 

  Middleware bridges the gap between your application software and the target hardware platform.  It solves sticky audio and video problems on your behalf, allowing you to concentrate on game application development. 

  Middleware is a relatively new concept that has been generated by increasingly large-scale, highly developed, and complicated recent software. 

  Compare middleware against the term  "OS", or "Operating System."  Although there is no explicit boundary between those two terms, an Operating System is lowest and closest to hardware, but middleware has a much broader range of applications. 
 

 
 
CRI Middleware Products
  We develop, market and support middleware for entertainment products such as games.  The products include many things -- video libraries, multi-stream audio libraries, disc building tools and file system libraries, and voice 
recognition tools. Please refer to the "Product introduction page" for details of each product. 

  CRI's middleware is supported for all standard platforms.  All of consoles such as PLAYSTATION®3、Xbox360TM, Playstation2, Gamecube, Xbox, PlayStation®Portable, Nintendo DS, and PC, Arcade are supported. So not only developing a game application for a specific platform, but also porting one to another platform is easier to do. 

  CRI's middleware products have been used for years, across the world, by hundreds of game development projects and game publishers.
