Game Developers Conference 2009 PM

June 18, 2009

Thank you for visiting us at GDC 2009

Summary

-

We had a great turnout this year at the 2009 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Besides highlighting the release of CRI Movie 2.0 and the upcoming release of CRI Vibe 2.0, this year we had a Street Fighter 4 'Face-off' to see who was the best Street Fighter 4 player at the show.

We brought the crisp Sony 1080P High-def monitor and put a couple of Mackie monitors on each side of the monitor so each bone crunch and death blow would be crystal clear. Our neighbors, and middleware partner, at Crytek we're very kind to put up with all the noise and traffic while they were doing amazing demos of the CryENGINE 3.

The developer and producer of Street Fighter 4 stopped by to see the "Face-off" in action. MadCatz lent their support by providing a few of their awesome FightPads and we gave away around 250 custom tee-shirts and games that have used our tools to the players (Soul Caliber 4, The Simpsons's DS, Virtua Fighter 5 and Okami Wii).

Even though other companies were packing up and heading home the final battle drew a crowd of around 100-150 people during the last hour of the show.

Congratulations to all the players. Thanks for making this GDC really fun.

Capcom used both CRI's movie and audio products in Street Fighter 4. We expect to have an interview with the SF4 team in the next few months please stay-tuned.

The crowds grew thoughout the show, day-by-day, as new leaders were crowned.

-

We were so impressed with both the mad skills of the contestants and the great community that built around the contest. Thanks so much guys for your positive energy and enthusiasm.

-

These guys stuck around and battled to the end. These are the "Face-off" winners. Congratulations guys!

The crowds were outrageous all three days. We were the scorn of the Fire Marshall: aisle blockers. Much of the time you needed to go to another aisle to get around the booth since the crowds extended way into the aisle. See the pics. below.

Answering questions about our movie player, it's a K.O. :)

We had people pouring out into the aisles to watch the action. Apologies to our neighbors and GDC staff. See you next year!
